It is important to give credit to the artists !

There are artists who have spend many hours of hard work to make wonderful pictures, we just use them with out giving the credits to the artists.

Do you think it is fair to do so?

Give us our thoughts about this.

I have used a picture made by Sun, with out the prober credit, Now I have made a correct credit on the picture. it will be visible in few hours.
I think it is wrong to use pictures with out giving credits to the artist, what do you think?

or any kind of work really.

There isnt really any judgement from a higher perspective. From a human viewpoint though, suddenly we have available a huge variety of art forms, including music and paintings on cyberpsace. It looks as though there is no regulation. The number of images that appear on even ning sites overloads my capacity to appreciate any one properly. As I have simplified my life, so in proportion, too many/much of anything becomes clutter. For this reason alone the artist is not valued: if his/her art can be perceived as sensory overlaod. Also what happens when someone uses a picture for their avatar/icon? Is it just a logo? Why not ask permission from the artist as a first step?
